Hey,

Just on Haltech site and the new variable cam control ECU is out. Should make abovementioned engine conversions alot simpler.

Enjoy

I know there was alot of discussion on this particular brand of ECU, i think it was in The 6 cylinder section early on when they were looking for an appropriate ECU to run on the BA into EL conversion.

Apparently they wont run the the falcon 6, but hopefully they have developed a little bit more.

It would still be good if there is an alternative.

Are you going to be the Guinea pig Gaz?? Hows the beast going as well?

I think it's a totally new ECU, nothing like the E11. No, i wont be the guinea pig, though the twin cam would look even better in the Mav's bay than the EL motor. Beast is coming along well, had some spark issues, which i think i have sorted out now.

Cheers

Daz

not Gaz

 .............................AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT: Just read that it is to suit the Nissan 350Z, but obviously that's just with a plug in loom and base tune but could be suited for other applications, but will it actually run the BA/BF D/VCT? When i was speaking to Haltech a while ago they told me that the BA/BF cam actuator solenoids were 'unique' and that they were still developing the software to be able to run them. Maybe this is what they have come up with, but might be a good idea to make double sure that the new ECU will run it....
