i bought my car from a suttons holden dealership with a used car warranty.. so i have to get it serviced every 6months by them to keep it under the warranty... i have just found out that they have been using ATF in the power steering all this time. i know the AU uses a special power steering fluid, but since i have owned the the car, MID 06, the pump has been changed twice and the rack once and also the high pressure hose once...
Would the ATF be causing these failures? eg. destroying the internals, wrecking the pump and or rack, the seals etc... i have not confronted them about it yet, that is happening on monday. i just wanna get all the info before i get into the argument of them not using the right stuff specified for my car..

As far as i knew, ATF was used as power steering fluid too , i can't imagine why you'd be chewing up so many parts...

i know that the atf is also used as power steering fluid, but i know the AU uses a special type of power steering fluid, like it has a special specification... the atf is red where the special 'late model falcon' fluid that i picked up is yellow, and alot more dense... i was thinking that this might have something to do with it...
