as the title would suggest, should i go for king super lows or ultra lows?

super lows lower the car approx. 50-60mm below standard, ultra's being about 10mm lower again if the kings website is correct.

the cars a ebII sedan.

are ultra lows legal (vic).

pics would be a great help too.

If the laws are the same, then yeah they are illegal, but who cares, even super's are illegal (i think) up here.

Anyway, look at my signature, my car is about 5mm lower than ultra. With these though, you definatly need short shocks and struts, otherwise your on the stops.

Andrew.

Laws in vic state vehicle cannot be modified by more than a 1/3 of the original height. also have min 10cm (coke can) clearance off the ground

See part 5

This is kinda where I went wrong..

I wanted the back lowered because as most of you should know, the earlier E-Series sit higher at the back. I got ultra-lows and it was duuuumped, and it scraped quite a lot.

The other mistake was, I only got the back lowered, so do yourself a favour and go Supers all round (I will be doing the same in the near future) - because its decently low, tidy, and you can fit lots of wheel sizes underneath.

My two cents :D

i would only go super lows (king spings) as the tend to sag after a while.

I'd recommend superlows. Had them in the EL XR6 with 19" wheels on. Had to roll the guards a little. The car scraped every now and then, just have to be careful and know your limits. Rode a little bit hard, but it looked great. I think Ultra's would just jar your back, go through rims from dents and rattle you car apart.

I've had King Ultra Lows in my EB for about a week now, rides firm but not rough with lowered heavy duty shocks. Definately is not legal. I can post some pics if you want to see how low they are, with either the 15s or the 19s.

The new shocks I put in are lower than the Pedders Sports Ryders that I had before so that combined with the Ultra Lows is what makes it so low in the front. In these photos I have my old wheels in the boot so it sits about half an inch lower than normal at the back.

The rears were a fair bit higher than the fronts, so if you want it even you will have to get the rears compressed a little bit, which is what I am having done on Monday.
