What is everyones opinion??
Car in question is EF Ghia 5.0 I have the need for some input from all you WINDSOR Buffs out there: So I can keep saving and looking forward to the future I want to know if its best to :- 1.Supercharge the Windsor in and leave the rest stock, apart from exhaust and headers ( as someone else has done on here, cant remember his name) what will the approximate cost be with a second hand blower, assuming I will do the plumbing? Low boost aiming for 160-180 atw?? 2. Throw in some gt40p's, explorer Mani, Underdrives, YT Roller rockers, decent headers, Larger throttle body,MAF AND A Beefier CAM. (Probably at a huge cost, and I am guessing it still wont perform much better then a stock AU2 200kw??) 3. Leave it alone, already sounds great coz of 2.5' piping and just throw on some decent headers, and use cash for BA XR-Turbo which will already go hard- and probably crunch a Mildly blown Windsor in all aspects....even if stock. I am one of those people who likes to look forward to something (realistic) What should I plan for??

Option 2 is good, and it will perform alot better than an AU200. Then when cash permits go option one. Basically improve its effeciency now as a NA motor, then fit a pump and enjoy

Brett Thanx Brett, what sort of reliable power, and remember I am only after a mild/moderate increase would I expect from a Blown Stocky with the HO crap still on??? Probably a very broad range question- but see how ya go! Could I look at 160-180rwkw from a force fed stocky on low (5-8psi??) reliable non engine splitting boost??

EFFUTURA i believe it was, one of the moderators on here had a blown stock 5.0 and made 160 odd quite comfortably, with bucket loads of torque. It is a good option, but me i would improve it NA then fit a pum with small boost

As Brett said, option 2, no doubt, I wouldn't say the cost is huge either.
I'm going down a very similar path in 2 weeks.

Yup I am still running the crap e7 heads, though im running a better intake manifold, with a 80mm Maf, 42lb injectors, it made 228 rwkw on 8psi. I gotta get it back to the dyno as I have touched a few things up (recheck Air Fuel), it feels stronger in the mid range and hooks up well from the start too. I reckon maybe picked up 5 odd rwkw, in the range, but I will recheck first. Though I have hit the wall with the heads and running gear, tempted to get a set of alloy heads for it.

dunno if it makes all that much difference, but the car is on gas also. With an LG system, sprintgas mixer. Runs nice, and pretty much the same as any stock petrol powered Windsor actually.
I am hoping with a low/moderate boost, I could still aim for between 16-180rwkw......what do you think???
