Hey all,

I was just wondering if there is any easy way of identifying an EA T5 from an EBII onwards T5.(other than pulling it apart??)

The reason i ask this is because i have an EA series t5 in my car at the moment and i am buying what the guy believes to be an EB series box.

(If worse comes to worse i spose when i put it in and first gear's longer then it used to be, chance are it will be an EB box.)

Cheers in advance

there is a thread of mine in here about the 3/6 bolt flywheel. i think it is still on this page of this forum!

it has a link from snap 0964 to a thread with the differences between them.

Look at the Casting date. If it has 87,88,89,90,91, it'll be the EA box.
