Need a flash tuner for the old man.

Needs one to suit a BA fairmont Ghia V8.

would prefer the fairmont tune already on it, but open to suggestions.

erm, they come with 3 generic tunes as standard when new, for the different RON types of fuel (a 95, a 98 and valet mode- limited to 3k rpm)

either of the 2 types flash1 or flash 2 will work for you, as they are compatible with fords from au onwards.

grab a flash1 from capa and get a custom tune. If you get it second hand one the owner will have to reload the origional factory tune back onto his car first, as the flash will be locked to his cars vin number. You can take second hand flash tuners to places on capas website to get them unlocked. They can not be unlocked unless the factory tune is placed back in the origional car. Note this will erase any tunes already existing on the tuner and will be a blank slate.

either way a custom tune by a reputeable and experienced operator is a must.
