ive done my trip meter with led lights looks great
but the problem today is i started doing my climate control

i pulled it all part took about the orange filter thats behind the glass screen but with the blue light it still looks odd there digits are a diffrent colour compaired to the trip meter it has a funny orange bluish hard to discribe

i'll run thought what i did again

pulled the climate control unit apart replace the globe with a blue led same as whats in the trip meter removed the orange filter from behind the glass screen

what i wish to do is have it looking the same as the trip meter any help would be great

From looking closely at this myself recently, the only option is to unsolder the LCD Screen from the PCB.

There does not appear to be any other way to safely remove the orange filter.

i have removed the orange filter thats behind the lcd screen i didnt unsolder it but it was a pain to get out as u can see in the pic the leb globe can be seen though the screen

it seems like the lcd ink (that displays number letters etc) is orange its self

tryed brighter leds made no diffrent really

i removed the filter from the trip meter and replaced it with a maccas napkin lol no s**t
