Hi I have an EL Falcon 98, automatic transmission, and lately the car seems to be slipping out of gear of something, im not too sure. Everytime i accelerate after stopping it would roll forward, but then the car will only rev even if i push down on the accelerator, then after it would kick into gear.
I had the transmission flushed and it still does it. Does anyone know the problem and/or how to fix it?? Thanx very much Bob

Torque concertor sounds buggered, The typical give away is the engine free revs before locking up.. Congrats you now have a home made high stall.
I would be making the suggestion that you get a new convertor and gear box rebuild. Or at least get it looked at by a profesional they can diagnose it pretty quick, also if they think they are going to get some work out of it, they will probably quote and inspect for free as it would only take them a minute to figure out whats wrong. How old is the box itself? has it been rebuilt previously to your knowledge? It may just be its time.
