Hey Guys,
I got a AUIII XLS ute i just put a stereo in. Clarion head unit (can't remember which one, but it's a decent one), clarion Ultra series 5" splits, clarion pro series 6x9s, all running off a 4ch 240W clarion amp. Sounds pretty good, but i don't really know what i'm doing in order to tune it properly. I like listening to rock/metal. Help please from anyone who actually knows what they're doing. |

Like most aftermarket units there would be a setting for rock, pop, rap etc etc
got a manual for the head unit, give that a read you might find what setting to put bass and treble and fade etc to make it sound smick

Do you mean tuning the bass mid treble, or do you mean tuning the amp gain?
If you mean tuning the bass, mid, treble, its really a personal preferance. What you like to hear. If you mean tuning the gain on the amp, this needs to be matched to the output voltage of the head's rca's. IE: most units seem to be around 2.5v-3v preouts. All this will be in the manual for the headunit and amp.

Make sure you filter your rears and frontz to 80hz or higher when you get the sub as you wont need bass out of them and you will probably be able to have it louder once again
