While Im still doing my boot instal, im thinking of putting in a 22" wide screen LCD inthe boot,
I have two Issues
-How to power it?
-How to mount it?

Ive seen a few guys onthis forum that have screens in their boot, how do you mount it to the boot lid?

Power issues, are those $50 converteres any much chop? how would I go about powering the tv?
Much help would be great

Most LCD's around that size are 12v/240v.. The TV itself is 12v until it gets to the transformer which up-steps it to 240v.

If your not comfortable with wiring an auto electrician should be able to wire it up fairly easily.

can i ask why you would have a tv in the boot? ive never understood this idea. i dont tend to hang out in my boot while the cars going, and if i want to watch tv when the cars parked up i go inside and watch the full hi def 42 inch plasma sitting on a comfy lounge with a beer...

Spot on, It was just a thought, its either this, or having 2 screens in the head rests..
Im just concerned about converting it 2 power, and mounting it to the boot (along with vibrations)

Cheers

power inverter would be the best to power it just get a pure sine wave invertor and as for mounting the screen you could use a the universal wall mount brackets and mount that to the boot lid bracing which is the cheapest way.

The other way is to get a fibre glass panel made similar to what I have got but its alot more costly ($800 plus atleast) but offers better results

$800 is a bit out of my budget, as i've spent $400 or so on the boot already not including the LCD Screens or Screen, wouldyou have picture of yours?

*Where would you get the inverter from? (I don't; want to buy a dodgey one)

try jaycar for an inverter. the will have the best idea of exact one for your needs and the prices are normally pretty good.

As for my boot lid install its only using a 10.4 inch screen but gives you an idea.
