Hi guys just a quick question for some one who has done a or had a mechanic do a auto to manual conversion just wondering cost involved with this if a mechanic was to do the conversion as i dont have the time.Any suggestion Thanks in advance.

i had a mechanic put my gearbox in as i didnt have time to borrow car stands etc (have them now though).

i fitted the pedal box, clutch cable, fitted the modded wiring, and supplied all the parts (box,shifter,clutch,flywheel) they charged $150 to remove auto and bolt it all to gether.

costs for me were
- box 500 (reco off a mate)
- flywheel 220 (new)
- clutch 200 (new)
- misc bits (oil etc) 100
- fitting 150
so around $1200 for me, but i did all the easy/timeconsuming stuff my self, but theres a guide on parts, having all of the stuff done from a mechanic im unsure on labour.

sorry to steer the topic away for a little bit, but rushed, where did you get hold of a flywheel for 220? i rang around all the auto parts stores and they wanted in the vicinity of 450!!
