i was wondering why when i had the cruise on that when i braked the engine revved up and the car tried to keep the set speed then all of a sudden braking as it should, after a month i noticed one night that the brake lights weren't coming on, got a "NICE" one and it says it has 20k warranty

I have replaced the brake light switch in my EF falcon 3 times in 6months! Don't know why it keeps dying but it's really annoying

I'm exactly the same, although I recall the cruise playing up about a week ago. Then today someone pulled up beside me and told me my brake lights are broken. At least it wasnt the cops... |

I wouldn't stress too much about $10 for a switch. The Fraud dealer up here charged me $47.00 yesterday. I'm pretty p****d knowing that I could have gone back to Repco and saved myself like $40

well, its not really saving money, if you have to replace the poorer quality switch more often then the oem stuff.
I replaced two of those cheap crap switches over then said fukkit bought an original and haven't had a problem since.
