How much did that cost you mate?
What would you sell a grill liek that for? eg if i sent mine up and you chromed it and added the grill?
It looks awsome but will go good with the EL Fairmont moulds rather that the EF ones IMO

costs are paint stripper, few sheets sandpaper, autosol, acrylic clear, mesh. As for how much would i charge, prolly heaps lol.....your better off having a go at it yourself mate, its not too hard :)

Ive got it on the car now, and it looks nice but needs more chrome in the front bar to help it blend in more

EL chrome moulds look ugly in my opinion...... dunno what to do really?

Il have a go at it once i get the EL grill i bought for $50!!!

EL chrome moulds are ugly but wth a grill like that it would help it blend in.
Chrome the center peice of the bar..it might help it blend in.
Just an idea mate..

Hey guys i was thinking of modding my EF grill. Take that plastic crap out and putting some chrome mesh to replace it and also put the same mesh i use for the grill in front bar.
(Same sort of thing FordFairmont did but I'm going to keep the grill the same colour of the car not chrome.)
I was thinking of cutting the bonnet behind the grill so i actually have a functioning grill. (ELGT style)
My questions are:
1. Is it ok to cut anywhere behind the grill or should i cut it in the same place as the ELGT had it cut?
2. Do i need to reinforce the bonnet as I'm cutting a part of it out?

you should probally ask your rta before choppin it .. just incase you get nicked and they tell you it had to be re engineered.

Firstly i wouldnt cut a hole anywhere, there wouldnt be much benefit anyway.

And if you remove the plastic section in the middle, you will have 7 large holes left behind where it clips in. Better off removing the badge and grinding the raised section of the grill flat, then fitting the mesh and badge over the top of it.

When i cut out the mesh i left a small lip extra so it folds over the edge of the plastic section of the grille so it was held on securely when i clipped it back in. Also drilled a screw in behind the badge to hold it on better
