I have being helping the father inlaw with getting his futura wagon running as it has being off the road since 05, the smart lock light is not illuminating at all on the dash whether the key is in or out of the ignition.

When I press the demister button below the wiper button, I thought I would see the demister light on the dash go on/off but either there isnt one there on low series dash or the globe has gone, I had replaced the Tail gate assembly as the previous actuator had s**t it self. The car will only crank & not start so part off me thinks this is a smart lock issue, as the fuel pump is working and we have replaced the fuel filter.
Any suggestions?

Well all sorted now, it turned out to be the interior dome light fuse.
Let this one be a learning curve.
