I am in the process of selling my NL Fairlane, build date 06/97. I am the second owner and recall the original owner telling me that it was a special edition,
I have been onto red book to establish a value and notice all the VIN No's for Nl's are 6FPAAAJGLWTD##### the No. on my NL is 6FPAAAJGLWVR#####. Can anyone tell me why the different VIN No. between WTD and WVR? thanks. Les |

old Bob is correct, LW for longwheelbase (lane/ltd) SW for sedan, WA for wagon, CM for commercial, though this started with the AU i think. i think it was 34 before that from memory. . . long term memory that is.
so that takes you up to 6FPAAA JG LW/WA/SW... then the next is the month year. i think in 2000 they started numbers for the year number, before that they were letters so basically i just repeated what bob said.
