About a week or two ago the car f@rt and died. Started again the next day.

Died shortly after.

Found no spark or injection, the culprit sounded like the ignitor unit. Replaced the whole dizzy and ignitor, all is good.

For 30 minutes. The tacho flickers a bit as the motor is f@rt to its death. Crank and it wont start. Wait 30 mins and it will start.

Replace the coil, same deal.

Replace the ECU, same deal.

No water is leaking onto the dizzy from the thermostat housing or head so its not that. No water is getting into the ECU so its not corroded connections. All engine to body harness connections are in good order.

What the f**k else could it be?

Have you checked the ECU relay under the coolant reservoir?? I take it that you also replaced the tfi module on the outside of the dizzy and the hall pickup sensor.

I haven't explictly checked it. Does it do more beyond supplying the required 12v to the ECU which is there?

And yup, when I meant i replaced the ignitor, that is the TFI unit, and the hall pickup sensor is part of the dizzy.

Cheers

The ECU relay provides 12v to the injectors and feeds 12v to fuel pump relay coil for switching 12v to the fuel pump.

Got ya - so if I've got 12v on the supply lines at the ECU when the fault is present then it wont be the relay.

Any other thoughts? I'll be mucking around with it today to try fix it

Cheers
