tried another ecu, didnt help
doesnt matter, as long as it runs, isnt noisy and flogging commodores im happy |

Late reply however if you try restrict the amount of air going through the ISC then it will not be able to shut properly - it seems to depends on vacuum to close it.
Been there tried that wasted a few hours... |

Been there tried that wasted a few hours... i made the holes smaller in my isc gasket and it worked 100%. and the isc should close without vacuum.. maybe the problems are different to what i had but it worked for me.. i did this about 1 1/2 years ago and it still idles 100% |

The Ford ISC valve operates like the "duty controlled ACV" valve in the
http://www.autoshop101.com/forms/h26.pdf document posted above. It is only connected to an output of the ECU. The ECU doen't appear to care if it is diconnected.

Just to add, i fixed the 'rev hang' issue which plauged me since converting to manual.
Was done with a custom tune at Chiptorque, apparently they tapped into settings in the ecu which they dont normally touch, drives perfect now |
