help i have a ea ghia and it is running like a dog it reves up and down even when i hold down pedal abt 3/4 down and trip disp beeps and disp wrn dose anyone know wht it could be and any one wth the codes and beeps ect for trip dsp

i have a ea ghia and it when running it (revs up and down) and i have replacted the dizzy and rotor cap and leads and plugs inlet gasket cam and rocker gear but still revs up and down like hitting the gas on and off and trip display beeps like head light reminder and flashes the words (WRN) as in warning is that better ?????????????????????????????

WRN? NEver heard of that coming up on an EA-ED trip computer.
Check your electrical system.. battery terminals, earths, etc.

have new gold plated volt meter terminals ect is factory trip and maby you havent heard of it becouse it hasnever came up on yours i cant find anything abt it and ford here keep given me the f@#k around becouse of its age i had no prob when it came to a prob with my ef

Someone needs to come down lol. If the revs are going up and down as you mentioned, this would mean a hunting idle. Does it do it at idle, or everywhere? if its at idle, then disconnect your Idle Speed Controller and see if it changes anything. If your trip computer says WRN, that is wierd, because if its an EA, then it can only display numbers? as does mine.
However it does beep at you when your headlights are on, or you have low fuel. It definately sounds like an electrical problem, if your battery terminal is fine, then try have a look if there's any wires shorting out. After all that I would blame the ECU, apart from that you seem to have replaced any other possiblity. Cheers
