Hey guys,
i'm about to buy a BA XR6 turbo....Now can these cars be run on Normal Unleaded Petrol or does it have to run on Premium Unleaded? What are the PROs and CONS with running both fuels? cheers

mate i got an xr6 na and i still run 98 octane. i know that u have to run the turbos on at least 95 octane .
Let me put it this way the higher octane petrol = more power, cleaner motor and more kms out of a tank i wouldnt muuck around with s**t unleaded |

91 will ping its guts out!
95 min i say! End of the day it like 5 - 10 bucks on top for a tank full! Well worth it i think! |

run on premium definately more kays out of the tank and yes definately more power. my xr6 dosent ping on unleaded but i rarely ever use it. it seems wrong putting unleaded in a high performance car.

If your that worried about the cost of fuel, have a good hard look around, there is LPG injection setup's to suit the XR6 Turbo's now. I have no experience with them, but it would be worth a look!
I was thinking about getting the conversion done to my g/f's Tx5 Turbo, but she doesn't use that much $$ in fuel atm, so awaiting liquid lpg injection, rumored by a couple of gas fitters i've spoken to, to be not far away. Cheers ToranaGuy
