It worked..
My daughters first bday is tomorrow and lots of stuff to do today so not long to work on the car. went to supercheap and bought a new lead for #2 and put it on 20 minutes ago. The miss has stopped completely and the car seems much more grunty now. Gonna do the fuel filter now and hopefully that will stop the hunting at idle and all will be well. Total cost for lead and filter was 17 bucks as the filter is on special at supercheap for 11 bucks for fathers day. |

Oh, and this is proof that that 3 dollar tool I bought last week did a very good job of finding the exact problem with the spark.
still say its the best $3 I ever spent. |

My guess is the leads, our little suzuki (equivelent to a holden barina) had a problem like this, dad just replaced all the leads and the problem went.
I think the resistance should be somewhere in the 14, 15, 16 range. You'll know because one of them is probably is a little sky high in resistance, say 20 and higher. My 5c's worth. Have you got a multimeter?

Cool, the Ryco fuel filter looks to have solved the hunting problem.
For anyone who cares the filter is a Z200 Ryco. Quite a successful morning with the old girl. |
