I have a friend who wants to place a 6 speed behind his turbo BA ute. Anyone done this? I am unsure if it is g/box alone or tailshaft and if it has any ecu related issues. 2nd to that where the hell do you find a 6 speed, made a few calls but have come up with laughter at the other end of the phone
Anyway advice in any direction would be appreciated Thanks

FTG auto salvage should be able to supply a conversion kit, tailshaft, trans mount etc

Mal Wood also supplies a conversion kit. I don't think they come especially cheap though if your converting from auto to T56. Going from a five speed T5 to T56 is a lot less painful.

If its 5sp to 6sp pretty sure its a straight swap, just need to fiddle with some wiring for reverse as they have an electronic lock out
