Hey everyone, ive a few questions but the most important one is no. 1:

-Cos im in QLD atm and my car is in hometown Victoria, i cant get to my ecu to read the sticker batch code..
The car previously had a powerdyne supercharger with the capa (chiptorque) ecu fitted, which i removed myself.

1. So i can buy it now and have it delivered before i get home, is it safe to assume the chiptorque chip will suit the car? (Range from 94DA-12A650-BG / 4DBG)

2. The car im fitting it to is a Fairmont EL 4L with the following:
-Wade Cam 1521 profile
-2.5 exhaust, long pacemakers, high flow cat.
-Jmm 3000 stall
-Sprint gas mixer setup, JUST installed.

The question is, is this config tunable for lpg and petrol or for one fuel only?

3. What sort of gains can be had from the chip and tune in real terms?

Many thanks

the chip should suit a range of catch codes, just tell them what car its for.

They also might have done a custom tune for another eseries owner running a 1521a which they can flash into the chip.

AFAIK the chip can be tuned for both fuels, however unless your car is spinning on the rollers in their workshop & is tuned in "real time" then you wont get the full benefits and the tune will be very generic.

But having said that, theyve tuned enough eseries (including mine) with similar duration cams and they will be able to flash a generic tune in good enough to make your car run satisfactorly

Great, thanks alot.

With comparison to a standard ecu, with the the lpg and exhaust side of things, what sort of gains would you expect to see?

Just so i can put a price-to-benefit in my head.

Thanks in advance

if your running a 1521a, then you have no choice but to use aftermarket chip/tuning or its gonna hunt bad at idle, stall on cold starts, blow black s**t out the exhuast etc..etc...... :)

No it doesnt do any of that, it hunts a little at idle but no black smoke and it runs pretty well, better than stock!

It did have the piggyback on for the supercharger and that was sick! Went insane!

Now its a mild version of that :)
