The Tickford XR6's use a different clutch setup from factory over the manual GLi/Futuras. Anyone know what the differences actually are? I always assumed it was just a slightly heavier duty clutch from factory.
However, I notice that aftermarket clutch companies list a different part number for even there heavier duty (e.g. cushioned brass button) clutchs, so I was wondering if there's perhaps more than that different. I assume a XR6 setup will fit a GLi and vice versa? |

it would be as it is the same box, engine and pedal assembly the only diff would be in the clutch plate and pressure plate

You may be right on the money there. I flicked throught eh Clutch Industries (old PBR) and Exedy catalogues today, and they list the smae part number for the clutch plate for Tickford and standard, so that indicated the difference would be in the cover assembly. |
