Hey all
My clutch died yesterday... its a AU3 factory 5 Speed... at first it wouldn't go into gear... and the clutch felt like nothing was there... so started/drove home in 2nd... this morning i pulled the clutch cable... looked and felt fine... put it back in and now the clutch feels good but when its depressed it makes a real high pitched noise... have a EF service manual... it says Problem:Noise Problem Cause and Remedy: *Worn Throw out Bearing - Replace Bearing *Fork Shaft improperly installed - Install Properly and lubricate fork fingers at bearings Is the Fork Shaft the part that runs from the clutch cable below the starter motor...? if it is should the fork thing be able to move (without the cable attached) fairly freely Cheers Cam
