Hi Guys, Following the airbox.
how do i make a custom lid using aluminium sheeting or plastic sheeting for the ef/el airbox bottom to be able to use the ed snorkel and be able to clear the ef thermostat housing top at the same time as i have a ef top thermostat housing as well. ive been cutting and got the bottom to sit right but cant get the lid and snorkel to sit right and clear the later thermostat housing and i cant take photos at the moment. has anybody got template sizes of a custom lid to suit the above |

I cant really give you anser answer but I've been contemplating cutting the top of the air box off and putting some mesh there and adding a bonnet scoop and cutting out a bonnet hole to provide the maximum amount of air into the box as possible... any thoughts about this idea?

is this car a ED?... are you handy with fibreglass?
this is what i would to.. i would get a like teo ed or ea airbox lids.. cut two in half and then half again so all quarters sit and look complete sit onto the to the top of the ef/el lower air box.. clip the lid in and fibreglass the top leave til it drys and hardens then fbreglass until it is looks like a complete lid.. plastic primer and paint black grab an XH snorkel. problem solved no need to play with metal sheeting
