Could smell a burning smell yesterday and a slight sound as well so I pulled into a servo. The burning smell was coming from the drivers rear wheel and being next to it was letting off an extreme amount of heat and you could see a bit of vapor if you shone a light on it. Took the wheel off to have a general inspection to see what it could be but didn't notice anything obvious. Mind you, I couldnt touch the rim or the wheel nuts for more than a second as they were scolding hot.
Any ideas?

siezed slides on the caliper possible or worn bearing. when it's cold do a better inspection to see if the bearing is making any noise when the hub is spun.

When my brake calipers seized up, it made a noise at slow speeds and when coming to a stop, the tyre would lock up for the last few inches. I guess it to be more bearing-related.
