Has anyone out there, changed the damper sleeve on the T50D gearbox? Can you replace the sleeve by just removing the Turret cover? My friendly Ford Dealer tells me it's a gearbox out job!!! The car is an EL GT.

If the damper sleeve is what I think it is, the plastic bush that the ball of the shifter sits in, then yes you can change it by just removing the shifter.
You'll more then likely need to drop the gearbox cross member to get the shifter off, but it's by no means a gearbox out job.

Yeah thats right, did my EL XR, definetly not a gearbox out, just a drop.
