ok basically guys i let my friend drive my 1989 ford EA and she pretty much rode the clutch from taking off into first from the lights going uphill, since then when ive been shifting gears, my car has been feeling slightly sluggish, where my rev's dont go as high as quickly as they did before. Is it me being paranoid or is there something wrong with the clutch?

p.s the clutch is new

well an 89 falcon never really did rev high quickly. does it feel as if the clutch is slipping.? you might be just paranoid..

If the clutch was damaged from that incident, you would find the issue would be with it slipping - so the rev's would rise without gaining any actual acceleration. What you're describing doesnt sound like this, so I dare say you're just paranoid :) Maybe it's the warmer weather doing you some injustice! :D

Cheers

Changing your spark plugs might help?
