Hey guys, just wondering if these diff gears will fit in my factory 3.45 lsd?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Commodore-Ford-4-11-Borg-Warner-Diff-Gears-V8_W0QQitemZ230290868134QQihZ013QQcategoryZ33728QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

If i was to fit these, would it still be lsd?

also, does anyone know a rough price on labour to fit these?

and would there be a real advantage of 4.11 over 3.89's? or should i just go 3.89's because i imagine the 4.11's will be revving high on the highway (its already reving high with 3.45's compared to my old el futura )

thanks

um yes they will. they wont fit in a 3.08 or smaller housing..

you'll need an assortment of shims and a colapsable spacer to set the pinion height and backlash correctly.

if it doesnt get setup right it will whine and break the teeth off the gears.

and yes your only changing the gears so you will retain the lsd centre.

yes they will fit in a 3.08 housing. the 3.89's from an r31 fit my au housing that was 3.08. easy as pie. the pinion head on the 3.08 is a lot bigger than the 3.89, dont know why you say it wont fit, load of BS. make sure you get the right bearings though. shaft is roughly the same from 75-78 series, and the correct pinion bearing takes up any slack.

"Also suits ford XA through to AU, ALL MODELS "

has written on the add.
