I'm interested in the experiences of anyone who has modded the exhaust on a wagon, especially an XR6.
The mandrel-bent 2.5" Tickford XR6 exhaust is pretty good, but I am looking for more grunt (more is always better). I am happy with a bit more noise, but cannot stand drone. The muffler guys I have spoken to say the wagon has a tendecy to drone because of the large interior. I notice most sports exhausts eliminate the front muffler/resonator, leaving just a main muffler and rear reso. Can I get more power by simply replacing my front muffler/reso with straight pipe, WITHOUT getting drone? Has anyone done this mod on an XR6 wagon, or installed a sport system on a Falcon wagon? I don't want to waste my time and money if the drone is going to drive me crazy. Thanks for your help.

Oops. Forgot to mention that I am running Coby long-secondary headers and no cat.
