To? - and the answer is yes, you can get some 18's in both AU and pre AU fitment.
Im not sure about the legalities (of that size rim) or the insurability |

You can definately get 18's under it, i have 19's and i've seen a few with 20's. The options in pre-au fitment are a bit limited but i'm sure if you talk to your local wheel shop they will be able to help you out.

Im not sure about the legalities (of that size rim) or the insurability Should be legal to put 18" rims under an EL2 xr8. AS far as i know you are allowed to go 2" bigger with the rim diameter.

18's fit fine, best to roll the front guards to avoid chewing out you tyres. legally, im 99% convinced they are fine because you read the adr, it says that you can go 2" higher in diameter to what was available on that year and model. xr came out with 16's so 18's are fine

EL Falcon also came with 17" see EL GT. So 19" should be legal too. Its the same chassis so it shouldn't make a difference if we are talking legalities.
