Hey all. I own a 1998 Fairmont Ghia and just had a few questions about rim size's. My cousin owns an ef fairmont and has 17X8 on front and 17X10.5 on rear. Its also dumped aswell.
I was planning to get a set of 18's but i would like quite wide rears. Does anyone no how wide i can go? It's also getting dropped to. Regards Grant.

Make sure you roll the guards you should be able to get someone to do it for about $50 a corner. i've put 18x10 on the rear but it only just fit and i'm on King lows. ended up with 17x8.5

I'd be getting guards rolled just to be safe. It's a lot cheaper in the long run.

would go any bigger than 8.5 on the front but if you get the offest right in the rear 10's should fit easy as

I think EL Fairmont Ghia rim size = 15 X 7...not bad width for a 15"
I've got 265/40/17's on 8.5" rear...no problems...got some 275/40's waiting for the next drag day - will see how well they fir first obviously |
