TROYMAN wrote: this is a tricky one? today i changed the diff in my ed from 3.08 to 3.27. i also changed the speedo gear from 20 teeth to 21 teeth. the speed is correct for the ratio. and it did not change the shift points at all?? the car was shifting at 4700 full throttle with the 3.08 and with the 3.27 it still shifts at 4700 rpm. Cant see why it should change any different. Changing diff ratio just means the revs peak out faster, and changing to the correct speedo gear fixes speedo reading. If you left the old speedo gear with the new ratio, and used a speedo corrector to fix speedo reading instead, only then you would find different rpm's with shift points s**t, i just confused myself... |

Ive changed my diff from 3.23 to 3.45 (as some of you know- dont laugh) also the engine EL tickford with matching ECU. In power mines changes at 5200rpm usualy its great no complaints, in economy when you plant in it kicks back 1 or 2 gears n revs to 5000rpm n damn the car moves. I luv it
