hello there, i had a similar problem in my 96 falcon and knew all along it was a handbrake adjustment, but my mechanic was lazy and didnt look into it very well, i had the discs on the back replaced recently and the problem seems to have gone. I hope this is helpful

Thanks little red ef,
I had my hand brake fixed when the squeak first started, but he automatically replaced the pads. He also replaced the rotors as these were down to the limit and not machinable. Just about everything in relation to suspension, bushes, and brakes has been replaced. There isn't anything left to replace, so it has to be something that needs adjusting or refitting. |

AH. HA, I am sort of understanding ya know. I have a,"squeak" that you talk of Elusiverunner that comes from underneath the rear of my EL. I can bounce the car while stationary and hear it. I was actually told by a mechanic that I had metal seem on the chassis that had come away slightly that was making the sound and all that was needed todo to fix it was go to a Panelbeater to spot weld it back. Though I Haven't done it yet. But I am not to fussed as I know what it is and it is only a minor problem.
