Hi guys,
Did a search but couldn't find anything, My ef fairmont central locking has started going nuts recently. I will lock or unlock the doors and they buttons will go up and down 10+ times which was funny at first but now it's just embarrassing and frustatring. Is this common on the ef's? What would be the best way of fixing this? Are the the ef's central locking meant to sound like a grinding machine rather than a a quick click up and down (if that makes sense). I hope someone can read through the ramble and all the questions and have an answer for me. Cheers, Pat

Ok have you taken off any of your door trims recently?
When i took one of mine off and i put it back on the same thing was happening to me (going up 10 times etc and making funny noises) but then i took the door trim back off i found that the cable that makes the button go up and down was court on something. Hope that helps. |
