Hi, can anyone out there tell me if it's possible to paint the back part of the EB side mirrors by removing it from the rest of the mirror, or do I need to mask up the mirror to paint it? I have never pulled one apart before and don't really want to break one as it's my brothers car we're painting.

i cant remember which year they changed but i think it was late EB, the electric ones, ford sold them as a complete assembly so it was a complete b**ch and almost impossible to take the back off without breaking them. so it might be easier to take the mirror off the car and mask it up. if you break the cover taking it off you wont be able to buy a replacement.
