you can get C4 bellhousings for the I6. starting with the right casing, a C4 can be built to handle anything an I6 will dish out

Why have you chewed through 2 autos?
Engine work/turbos?

Have you got much power pumped through it?

Are you showing no mechanical sympathy to it?

Obvious points for longevity are a decent trans cooler and maintaining the fluid level.

when i got the car, the au was already in there, it is a really good motor but i dnt think it was installed to well, its had a bit of work and when i get mi extractors i should be pushing just under 200kw. About 2 months after i got it the tail shaft dropped out of the front of the trans and smashed the bell housing and cracked the trans (really made a mess of mi under carridge), ive got a recond one in there now and its really starting to slip and reving abit too high. I just want to know what my options are for trans...

ok so it's breaking because of poor workman ship, not because of power.

the obvious thing to do here if fix all the dodgy s**t. there is no way at all that an N/A AU engine is going to ever make enough torque to warrent the expence of changing to a different auto.

fix the problems and get a good AU auto for it.
