Hey everyone, just some new pics of the fairlane since the new motor and the boots all done, and some pics of it all poilshed up, tell me wht you think, Thannks rach Heaps more stuff to do tho, new gas tank and wiring becoz the old owner was dodgy, and there is to cut of switch on the gas tank, respray, new wheels...I realli love my fairlane, I have spent $4000 including the purchuse of the car and I still havent finshed spending money, I just put a $400 head unit on layby its a nice unit, Will show you all once its in. Thanks Rach

My brother and I brought this motor in a zk farilane about 3 months back now due to the motor being a little old and needed a freshin up witha minor rebuild, so i got the whole car for 350 it was complete, i got a brand new set of tailights and head lights out of it. we ended up swaping the charcole interior from the zk and put in in our zj which was cream and looked ugly and old. We asked him what sort of V8 was in it and he told us he was 100% sure it was a 302, so when we got it home and pulled the motor out, we seen that the sump had a a dint in it and we had anew one in the shed, so we took the sump off replaed that with new gaskets... and looked on the crank and it said 351 and we checked all the pistons and stuff and seen that it had been not llong rebuilt...and has a mild gas cam in it.. so i got a bargin and a half of this guy, now its in the fairlane its runs so well and has so much power (I loovvvvvvvvvvvve it) lolz the timing and stuff was out on it but my brother fixed it all up, the only thing that was wrong with it was it needed a new coil, and the the gas mixer s**t it self, so we got all it fixed.. so thats that done.. Thanks to my brother doing all the work, if he didnt it would of cost me a fortune in labour, he dose such a great job for being only 17...

nice ZJ that one!

i used to own a ZJ last year... although it wasnt as good as that one... mine cost $200  and had a carbie-fed 4.1, 1.5 speed auto  that you could start in drive , 3 power windows, 200mm ground clearance :P and really faded gold paint.

the LSD worked good though :P

and i sold it for $200 as well, which is always a good thing :D lol

Ahhh memories! I miss my old ZJ in a way. A great cruising car and plenty of room. Rachs ZJ 351 nice clean Fairlaine there even the tail lights havnt faded over 20 years so it must have been garaged.

Alfy mine was the same color but with a 302 Clevo and a stage 1 C4. I made a 3 3/4 inch alloy driveshaft for it as the old shaft was stuffed. It was written off 5 years ago but the engine and trans is now in my mums ZJ along with the alloy driveshaft. Maybe the only ZJ in the world with an alloy driveshaft!
