It depends on whether you are also converting to MPI from CFI as well.
If not, then it is a case of just doing a straight change over, though you may want to change which harmonic balancer and water pump pulley is on it (serpentine to multi pulley) and be sure you use your old dizzie as the CFI and MPI chopper wheels are slightly different, leading to #5 piston miss. As the 3.9 is 18/20yrs old, it may be a good idea to replace the coil, the older ones are prone to cracking around the body from age. There was some talk about loss of power at higher speeds due to the ECU being for the smaller capacity, however, when I did mine, last year, there ended up being no difference at all. In fact I found it had more accelerating power at higher speeds, i.e. from 80 to 100. A note to the wise; double check under the rocker cover, I found many problems just from checking there, like a broken head bolt and broken rocker posts. Then when the head gasket went last week, I found the gasket had been coated with Stag, not easy to get off.

That head gasket I told you about, still cleaning parts off, should have it back together tonight, I hope Unfortunately my disability is in all my joints, so doing stuff like scraping blocks takes just a little while Anyway, pm me and when it is finished I'll get over and have a look, if I manage to get it finished by tonight.

Yeah, well ... I don't have those tools for my air, just a ratchet gun and some electronic cleaning tips. I thought that rotary/air wire brushes weren't OK, that they would damage the block facing? Anyway, halfway finished now (11.50pm), just carefully putting everything back. Time for a coffee
