ok so i have a problem, ill start from the start.
So my brother moved from Bundaberg to Sydney and he needed a car, after alot of shopping around he found one, and I agreed it was ok. So i bought it for him, it was an XH 5sp. Dont know too much about it other than that. Anyways its all ok for about 3 weeks, then there was a problem with the engine, he took it to a mechanic who went for a drive with my brother to diagnose the problem, on the drive it broke down, dizzy gear stripped. So the engine is buggered. We have tried every possible way to get the car yard to pay for it or take it back, but they wont, even the department of fair trading cant help. So were probably going to get a reconditioned engine and put it in. I would like to get the car back here to bundy but it would be too expensive and impractical. Where would be best to get one in Sydney and who would be best to do the work? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

in QLD, any vehicle bought from a liscensed used car dealer comes with a standard 30 day warranty to protect people from buying lemons that blow up down the road from the dealrship lol.
Im sure you guys will have something similar there? |

not in SA we dont. if the car is under $8,000 or has over 200,000km, then no warranty. unless the car dealer is a nice guy and negotiates one with you...

I would recommend giving Joe from CMS a call. He is based here in Sydney, and should be able to source and install a replacement engine as well as suggest some other options.
His PM address is AUXR8 2 Cheers BenJ
