problem with tickford gas system when the car is turned to gas a puff of gas comes out of the convector.
the pro's say that need new convector but has some had this problem b4??? |

Could be that the bolts that secure the endplates are loose and need a tighten.

It sounds to me as though the converter has been taken apart at some stage and not pressure tested after putting it together. But, if a puff of gas is evident, it could be dangerous if there is an errant spark.
You don't say where the "puff" is coming from. If it is from around the body, assuming it's a Vialle converter, it may well be that the gaskets are stuffed due to corrosion. If it is a Vialle, it is generally cheaper to replace the converter than to get it reco'ed. |

was going to use in my car but went impco instead

they just sit on the convertors right....i think ive got a couple of EL ones....convertors are complete so the steppers should still be there....
are they expensive new??

Not expensive but I need one to experiment with as the EF ones dont have 255 steps.
