Because of a mod that I am doing, I wanted to find out if there is a way to change the odometer reading to what is on my ED Cluster, i was told its very possible.

Cheers

Kyle

why would you do it though???? i got a feeling it will screw you over if you wanna sell you car, and think of the person that buys the car

"ED falcon only traveled 150000km" sweet ride except the car has actually traveled 300000 or 400000km

the reading on my ED cluster is correct, i wanna change the one on the NL cluster to the same as the ED one, because im swapping the ED Cluster with an NL one, so its genuine KM's

You do know the NL cluster is by no means a straight swap into the ED don't you? Have a read of Benj's threads, plenty of detail and pics.

I have been discussing this with Kyle and he is aware of the difficulties.

As to the question, it is not a simple matter. In fact I have not changed mine as it is so difficult.

The only options appear to be is to see if Ford can flash it for you, or to unsolder the chip and get someone to change it.

BenJ

I seem to remember someone offering this service. Try Datamine he might remember.

can do it for you. Can change it to anything you like...

Although my Fairmont one in Futurlane passed it's warrant and rego having been on 289,000 when I bought the car it is now on 212,000. I watched the odometer go through 299,999 and I watched the Fairmont one go through 199,999... Took photos of it somewhere... The car is now 98,666 (give or take fifty K) behind itself and everyone is happy. Odd.

I have Shannon Wulff's address, but you can contact via PM "shannonwulff"

Well the next option is to find a cluster with the same K's and swap over the eeprom. Any EF or EL cluster will do.

Or just do the swap, and not care about it.

If you're so fussed, keep an eye out for a NF or NL cluster with similar kms then just swap it and sell your old one with a million kms.

You should have just bought an EF or EL, NF or NL or something, everything bar the shell on yours will be.
