Hi, i have a question for all you ecu buffs out there. i have a 91 xf ute. What i would like to do is remove the carby setup and go to an efi setup, I'm thinking an ea cfi motor, as it retains the looks of being catb fed. my question is "what if any dash components does the ea ecu control" I would like to retain the xf dash. For instance if i was to throw an ea cfi motor and 5 spd into the xf. would the xf dash still be able to function properly (by dash i mean cluster, heaters, etc) cheers for any help.

I have an injected 5.8W in a XC ute. The dash is 100% original and works perfectly.

The ford EEC runs separate sensors for the dash and computer inputs. So your dash will work normally provided the are reconnected correctly.

Why not go for MP EFI? It is a far better system and very little extra work.

Your gearbox probably wont fit the 3.9 either. So you will have to sort something out there.
