Hey guys done abit of a search but cannot find a good doco or instructions on installing a cam. I've got a bit of idea on installing the cam but i've got a few questions.

firstly, as a semi-noob Lol how long should i set myself on the install of the cam? I don't want to be car-less for too long. Im thinking i can knock it off in under a day?

I know i need assembly grease on the cam, but should i do a oil change at the same time (im going to switch to nulon fully syntheic 15w-50.) but should i wait a few weeks after the cam has been installed to change oil or doesn't it matter?

Any other things i must know before i attempt this?

btw, car is a ef ghia (tickford motor, ecu, suspension and lsd) and the cam is a wade 1673 (hoping it runs on the auto)

can be done if you have half a clue easy in a day

just make sure the timing chain is well securered (zip tie to the sproket, jam something in it to stop it falling down in there etc)

make sure all the holes for the rocker train are oil free when you bolt it back on. i used a spray can of lithium grease to lube the cam and runners before i put the new one in. if not, get a litre of oil and make sure its pregreased good

good luck with it
