Ah yeh I do. But then I dont think we will ever be in the majority. The e series cars are a dime a dozen now days, and all the younger guys can buy them and have trouble free driving. Why the hell would you buy an old car and have all the associated troubles if you dont have too ??

the 1st car I ever drove was my granfathers XF station wagon but the best 2 fords owned in my family when I was a child was a Metalic Green XC Fairmont staion wagon with 351 owned by me mum & BROWN XB FAIRMONT 351 which my granfather should have never sold as his XF gave him problems but now he has a AU series 3 WAGON brought brand new with 12000km on the CLOCK.
If I swapped cars with him for 3months I'll put 30000km easy

I used to own a ZJ fairlane 18 months ago, just replaced the trans, front end and resprayed it. 2 months later a towing a badly made car trailer with an XA ute on it the thing jack knifed, thats how i found out the trailer axels were too far forward. Up until then it was a great car to drive and the V8 went very well. Not all is lost as the old man bought the car off me and now its heart is in a newer body, a ZK fairlaine. looks good beside his XA wagon with a 351 clevo.

Hi guys,
yep, yay for old Fords - my car is an XB coupe, no way I'll ever sell that - had 6 or so coupes over the years and about 10 or so 4 doors from XM upward, motors from 144 to 332 !! (For all you young fellahs, the 332 came out of a Barge Fairlane - about the size of a small aircraft carrier - dropped into an XT ) heh heh heh - went into the rego place last thing on a friday nite, only filled out the engine number, and told the chick it was essentially the same motor as the 170 that came out...went like crazy, handled like sh*t, did very lairy burnouts....ah, memories...oh, and its two speed auto only had low, so was only good for 95 miles per hour...
