My p/s pump has been leaking. I noticed oil coming out from under the large hex next to the pump body. So i removed this and found a squashed thing that probably was an o-ring, and replaced it.

Then i ran the motor for a few seconds and oil flooded out next to the pipe that screws into the large hex. So i removed the pipe nut, and the end of the pipe looked like there should be an o-ring there, but there was nothing. So i put an o-ring on there and tightened it up. Now there are no leaks.

Have i done the right thing? Will i have any further probs?

When i went to repco they said i would have to give them an old o-ring and they would match it. When i went to ford they sold me a thin nylon washer that i could not see any place for?
