Simple question can u buy a hpf seperatly and hook it up to your speakers as my headunit has none for the rears and i really dont want to destroy my new mb quarts with heaps of bass.

So you have the MB quarts in the rear and running off the HU. I would take it you have the fronts running of an amp? Personally if the MB quarts are better than the fronts swap them around and run them off an amp with the low end cut out from the amps x over. The other alternative is a 3 way passive x over and use only the mid and hi outputs.

Thanks guys fyi i have mbquart discus series in the front and experts in the back. They all run off amps but the 4x100 only has a lpf on the rears.....
Just a little more information needed, i sorta understand what the passive hpf page is on about so in the calculator do i use 4 ohms and 125hz or 125000hz??? Or am i completly wrong??? |

4 ohm and 125Hz, so around 320microfards (μF).
