me and a few mates are thinking of building xp falc with a xr6t powered drift car, ive rang a ford dealership an a few wreckers but none of them cant or wont give me the mesurements of the engine
what i need to know is the lenght from harmonic balencer to fly wheel the width at the sump, the width across the head, the width from exhaust maifold to the inlet manifold an the hieght from bottom of the sump to the top of the tappet cover, any help on this would be very gratefull |

I think that doing this to an XP would be a very expensive exercise!
These cars are no where near built for anything like this. You would need to custom make all the suspension and steering setups, anti-roll bars, chassis strength, maybe a bit bigger track width, rear diff setup and so on to have a decent car to drift with. Also theres all the fun of fitting a computer controlled engine with wiring and fault codes, etc. It'd be a lot of hard work and cash. But if you think you have the money, time and skill involved than go for it. It'd be something different and it'd be great to see an XP drifting around. |

ok, these measurements are all give or take 10mm
Harmonic Balancer to Flywheel 795mm Sump width 220mm Head width 155mm Exhaust manifold to Intel manifold 700mm (it'll be wider with a turbo) Sump to tappet cover 680mm Good luck, and keep us updated on the project! thanks very much maTTeb for those measurements , we measured the engine bay an it will be a tight fit but do able , the whole fire wall an trany tunnel has to be cut out an new ones fabbed up , an iether go with a front end out of a l300 or go with a strut front end like the mustang guy"s use
