i have a nc2 fairlane ghia sportsman 4l
purchaced it from father in law he said he was in sydney one time at a ford dealer looking for a part and was asked where he got the car from he told them toowoomba Qld he was told they are few and far between (one of 50)
he was told it has all the xr6 gear in it
motor has green tapet cover (yes i know a supposedly ford expert he said it means a gas engine)
but i dont think the gas engine has the tickford emblem on it like tis one it has not been painted either
gas was fitted by father in law 12 years ago
every one says xr6 is red tapet cover
would like to know if tis was something out of the ordinary
any help muchly appreciated

I believe that the sportsman did have a green tappet cover from factory with Tickford emblem on the top front next to the ford logo. Yes they were a limited run.
