After reading all of your posts regarding changing dash globes to LED's and especially Laximah's troubles, i was wondering if anyone has a 'how-to' on one of these convesions

haha naa man, its piss!! i was just playing the fool!!
did EF_mont_ghia's the other day.. turned out fine!
i can sorta do a doco.. i took a couple photos...

the link from dazza will do wonders, but any pics u have wouldn't hurt

here is a sorta series of pics to do the lcd for the dash mod (to red)
u can see what globes to replace aswell to make the dash blue

once the dash is off unscrew the actual cluster (4 screws)


unplug the two plugs on either side of the cluster (use a flat head screw driver to leaver them out whilst pushing in the tab)


unscrew the two screws holding the back part of the cluster on and remove by uncliping it


remove the black face part


pull out dials (ghias have a screw holding them in as i found out from EF_Mont_ghias where as the mont is just stuck in) best was i found was to leaver out with a screwdriver. (the globes circled in red are the ones u have to change, 3 on the other side aswell)


unscrew the two screws holding the white part in (bottom two corners)

pull it out from the top

now unscrew the 4 screws holding the lcd in and unclip it (pretty self explanatory from there) See the darker bulb holders in this picture!? that have the words ILL3 and ILL4 next to them.. these are the globes u need to change (there are 6 of them)


replace lcd filter with desired colour


and put back together
